How to Achieve Net Zero Emissions, Thursday, 20th October 2022
|
The past year has heralded a raft of new announcements on corporate climate target setting. Companies all over the world are committing to setting Net Zero and Science Based aligned targets and in doing so, are being required to tackle their Scope 3 emissions. However, measuring and reducing Scope 3 value chain emissions is challenging and requires an ambition and focus outside of the traditional boundaries of an organisation. With less control over these external value chain emissions, we may need to rely on engagement and influence to drive change, very often with imperfect data.
Hosted by the CDP Ireland Network, our panel of experts Neil Menzies, Hibernia Real Estate Group Limited, Shane O’Reilly, KPMG, and Des Ferris, Keelings discuss how they are managing their Scope 3 emissions and what they have found works best. We are also joined by Aoife Devaney, Supply Chain Programme Account Manager at CDP who gives a short presentation on the new Net Zero Emissions standard and the role that a Scope 3 emissions reduction plan plays in achieving Net Zero. |
