Deborah Meghen, Chairperson, CDP Ireland Network
As Chairperson of the CDP Ireland Network, I am pleased to introduce our
2025 Annual Review—an opportunity to reflect on progress and to sharpen our collective ambition for the year ahead.

In a time defined by heightened volatility in global energy markets, the case for credible climate action has never been clearer. The current energy crisis has underlined a fundamental truth: resilience and competitiveness increasingly depend on how quickly we reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to secure, affordable, clean energy.

High-quality climate reporting remains a cornerstone of that transition. Transparent, decision-useful disclosure on emissions, risks, opportunities, and transition plans helps organisations strengthen governance, improve access to capital, meet evolving stakeholder expectations.
Crucially, it also enables better real-world outcomes by turning climate commitments into measurable action.

Decarbonising our economy is not only a responsibility it is a strategic opportunity. Scaling energy efficiency, electrification, renewables, circularity, and nature-based solutions can unlock innovation, boost productivity, create high-quality jobs and future-proof value chains.

I would like to thank our programme sponsors, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and a special thanks to all the members of the Network Steering Committee for their support throughout the year.

Deborah Meghen, Chairperson, CDP Ireland Network
