At Hibernia Real Estate Group, we have been disclosing through CDP since 2021, responding to the full Climate Change questionnaire. This year, we made the switch to the CDP SME pathway, and the difference was immediately apparent.
The streamlined format reduced the administrative burden considerably, without compromising the quality of insight the process delivers. For a sustainability team balancing multiple priorities, that ease of use genuinely matters. The results speak for themselves too - we were delighted to receive a B score, the highest achievable for an SME responder in 2025, and with CDP now removing that ceiling, we are setting our sights on an A. |

What CDP consistently does, regardless of the pathway, is sharpen our focus on energy. The discipline of annual disclosure keeps energy firmly on the agenda, prompting us to interrogate not just how much we consume, but where it comes from and how we can do better. That rigour has helped shape our targets: we are committed to sourcing 10% of our energy from on-site renewable generation by 2030, with all procured energy to be 100% renewable.
In a world of increasing energy insecurity, knowing exactly what you use, and having a credible framework to report it, is not just good practice, it is essential. CDP SME makes that accessible, even for teams where time and resource are finite. Neil Menzies, Director of Sustainability, Hibernia Real Estate Group Limited Click for home Click for next |
